It’s that time of year in Colorado when predicting the weather is just about as chancy as rolling a dice! We just never know what we are going to get – snow or sun. One thing we do know is we can’t help but have an incredible day if we’re shooting with an awesome adventurous couple like these two. For Cassandra and Justin’s shoot we chose to head up to Georgetown and Silver Plume for a bit of exploring and we are so glad we did. Did a little hiking at golden hour and then ended on a frozen lake. Pretty great day.
There is something so special about watching your friends become parents and then getting to document them with their little ones. Kimberly and John are some of the most genuine people I know. They also just happen to be some of the most talented people I know. Both own and operate small businesses here in Denver; Kimberly runs a floral design shop in the Rino District and John is a designer at a local screen printing company. They are cooler than cool and don’t even know it. They recently had a baby girl – Fowler Jean. She is the cutest little bean around town. Several months back Kimberly asked us to do a maternity portrait session for her and now with baby girl here, we were so excited when she asked if Daddy and Fowler could get some one on one time in front of the camera as well.
Nate and Lori are incredible wedding photographers and cinematographers based in Central Florida, sweet souls, adventurers, travelers, and just some of the best people you will ever meet. On a recent visit to Colorado, they scheduled a portrait session with us and we are so glad they did. We had the perfect snow mixed with sun day that Colorado is so well known for. Boulder showed off its charm with this gorgeous backdrop while we hopped around to stay warm. Nate and Lori come back again soon!
