So I think I’ve said this before, but I’m gonna say it again. This job of documenting people and their stories…it literally feeds me. Like sometimes I leave portrait sessions feeling like my soul just ate a big buttery bowl of spaghetti carbonara…extra cream, extra bacon! I mean I leave feeling full, fed, satisfied, and renewed. This early morning session in Morrison, Colorado was one of those times for sure! I think there were a few things that made this session really great. Part of it had to have been the fresh mountain air. Getting to start the morning with a hike in the hills most definitely contributed to this shoot’s amazingness, but most of all it was these two people right here, Brian and Amanda. Getting to spend the morning with them was renewing, uplifting, and just so much fun! They let down their guards with me. They allowed themselves to feel silly, to get out of their shells. When I asked them to love on one another, they actually loved on one another instead of just acting it out. That’s what makes this job so amazing! That’s what makes these photos mean something, what makes these photos have the ability to make you feel something. Amanda and Brian, thank you for letting me document your love, it was a privilege and an honor.
