After meeting with Laura and Jon Marc we quickly realized that these were our kind of people. We instantly connected over a conversation about our shared frustrations with the limiting expectations and confining structure found around the idea of marriage, and even more specifically the commonly held beliefs surrounding weddings. You know, basically the messages that we’ve been fed since childhood in regards to what our weddings should look like, what our marriages should look like, what should be valued, what isn’t appropriate. We are all about encouraging couples to create a day/ event that honors and pays tribute to the commitment they are making to one another without feeling the need or obligation to adhere to the traditions of the past that may not be in line with their beliefs as a couple.
