We are back from some time in the South and feeling so refreshed! I know I basically said this in a post a couple months ago in regards to these two’s engagement session, but I’m going to say it again. Meeting and working with John and Youn over the last year has not only recharged and encouraged us as artists but also as people. These two are what we would call some of the best. Kind, genuine, sincere, and inspiring. They are the sort of people that you hang out with and literally leave feeling more uplifted. We met them on the dance floor at a wedding we were shooting two years ago in Chicago. John was the best man; Youn was his gorgeous date. He said he would call us when they got engaged, and sure enough 5 months later he did.
We adventured to New York City for their engagement session and then to Atlanta for their wedding. Over their 6 month engagement, we shared many cups of coffee, hot tea, Skype dates, life stories, aspirations, cab rides, and one insanely delicious meal at Gramercy Tavern (a truly special gift and the most incredible dining experience Perry and I have ever had!). Somewhere along the way, amidst the sounds of cameras clicking…maybe it was when we were freezing our butts off in Dumbo trying to get that perfect shot with the Brooklyn Bridge…not sure when or where it happened….but now stepping back we find ourselves suddenly intertwined into one another’s lives, into one another’s hearts. I can honestly say our life story (Perry and mine own) has truly been altered from our meeting John and Youn. Indeed this is rarity and something worth note.
