So we did it again – we put on another wedding at an offbeat, non traditional wedding location, in one week, with a real couple, on one tiny budget!!! It turned out better than we had hoped and yet again we hope to encourage all those offbeat brides out there to plan a wedding that is unique to them. We know that sometimes people want to do things differently, they just don’t know quite how to do it! So this year, we have made it our goal to rally together the incredible talent here in Denver and show brides first hand how an offbeat, creative non-traditional wedding can be done – on a budget and with style!
The location is in Silver Plume, Colorado at Dram Apothecary’s Bread Bar. The Bread Bar is a new hotspot that has become a hub for all craft cocktail lovers, the Silver Plume regulars, Denver artists and musicians, and of course visitors from the slopes! Started by Shae of Dram Apothecary, it has received quite a bit of national attention since its opening for the renowned custom bitters made in the kitchen and also as the coolest spot to have a hot toddy after a long day skiing on the mountains! It’s also the perfect spot for a small dinner party or outdoor concert, but what about a wedding!? We think this hidden gem is the perfect spot for a small intimate wedding with friends and family and we just had to showcase how it can be done!
The old mining town of Silver Plume is also just as charming as The Bread Bar itself. With its quite main street lined with original historic landmarks from the 1800s, once you drive into the little town, you literally feel like you have been transported to another time and place.
As far as logistics go,The Bread Bar can comfortably entertain a wedding of 15-20 guests in the warmer months when access to the back patio is open and the small hotel down the street can
